Academy midfielder Edward Upson is on standby for the England U17 squad. John Peacock's side are in UEFA European U17 Championship Elite Qualifying Round action this week.
The England youngsters started their three-match campaign with a 2-2 draw against Italy at Huddersfield on Tuesday evening. They face Bulgaria on Wednesday at Barnsley and Russia at Scunthorpe on Saturday.
Upson, scorer of last season's FA Youth Cup-winning goal, will join the academy full-time in the summer when he leaves school.
