Preston Praise Fans - Ipswich Town News
Preston North End have praised Town supporters for their behaviour and commitment after the Blues' recent 3-1 defeat at Deepdale. Town lost Richard Naylor to a controversial red card in the 10th minute of a game played in sodden conditions.
North End safety officer David Holden contacted Town saying: "Five hundred and sixty five Ipswich supporters made the long and arduous journey in appalling weather conditions and showed tremendous passion and support for their team.
"These supporters were a credit to the club and behaved impeccably throughout the night. If only all supporters would conduct themselves in a similar fashion.
"It was a pleasure to host them and I hope they enjoyed the game despite the weather conditions and result. They will be welcome back at Deepdale with open arms at any time."
