Lordan Trial at Bradford - Ipswich Town News
Released academy midfielder Cathal Lordan is set for a trial at Bradford City. Earlier this week Bantams boss Colin Todd revealed that he had discussed players exiting Portman Road this summer with Town manager Joe Royle.
Todd said he wasn't interested in striker Dean McDonald but is now giving Lordan, scorer of two goals in last season's FA Youth Cup final first leg, a chance to impress at Valley Parade.
Lordan has just had a spell on trial with Cork City, but the Irish club's boss Damien Richardson revealed that English and Scottish clubs were also interested in the former Republic of Ireland U18 international.
The 19-year-old has already had time on trial with Gillingham and Southend.
Defender Scott Mitchell, another player set to leave Town at the end of the season, has been the subject of an enquiry from Boston United.
