Beattie Award Cancelled - Ipswich Town News
The planned award of a replacement 1973/74 PFA Young Player of the Year trophy to Town legend Kevin Beattie was postponed on Saturday as the ex-England man was taken ill.
Beattie was due to receive the award from PFA man Mick McGuire prior to Saturday's game with Stoke City. The original was lost in a fire during the central defender's time playing in Norway.
