12,000 Sold So Far - Ipswich Town News

Town are on course to hit their season ticket target despite reports last week suggesting that the totals were behind schedule. With Thursday the deadline for purchasing seats at a lower price, the Ticket Office has received 12,000 ticket applications.

Ticket Office manager John Ford told TWTD: "We are processing quickly but the postbags are bigger than we can handle, which is what we all hoped.

"I guess we are around the 12,000 level at the moment and I am confident that we will get to the planned levels at the price deadline date. The numbers are actually uncannily similar to this time last year.

"Of course, we will continue to sell throughout the summer, so the numbers should keep rising until we kick off in August."

The club sold more than 18,000 season tickets for 2005/06 but is likely to have set a target nearer the 15,000 mark for the season ahead. Around 5% of applications have come from fans who weren't previously season ticket holders.
