Penney Denies Jim Link - Ipswich Town News
Doncaster Rovers manager Dave Penney has denied any interest in Town skipper Jim Magilton. The Northern Irishman's seven-year spell with the Blues will come to a close at the end of the season.
Last week Town boss Joe Royle said that Rovers had turned their attention to Magilton having failed to persuade Kevin Horlock to sign a two-year deal.
However, Penney says this is news to him: "I don't know where Joe's got this story from. Jim and me are good friends - we played together at Oxford - but we haven't offered contracts to anyone apart from Kevin Horlock."
Horlock spent two months on loan at the Earth Stadium but has now returned to Portman Road.
