Town Near Ticket Target - Ipswich Town News
Town have revealed that season ticket applications fell just short of their target of 16,000, around 2,000 down on this year's total. The deadline for purchasing tickets for 2006/07 at the lower cost was the Thursday prior to Easter.
Chairman David Sheepshanks, currently on holiday in Australia, expects sales over the summer to meet the target: "It's a little tight but the figure is near enough to our target of 16,000 and we expect to see further supporters join us as the build up to the new season commences.”
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has renewed their season tickets and to those supporters who have joined us for the first time for the tremendous faith they have shown in the club.”
"We have no wish to sell any of our players, and indeed we are proactively planning a share issue, the entire proceeds of which are to be invested in the team.”
