U18s Thrash Millwall - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s thrashed Millwall 5-1 at Playford Road on Saturday lunchtime. Jordan Rhodes netted his 40th goal of the season, while Sammy Moore scored twice and Tony Boto and Darryl Knights were also on the scoresheet.
The U16s lost 3-2 to the same opposition, the matches having been rearranged after being postponed earlier in the year.
Trialist Ryan Watts, a left midfielder from Brentford, laid on two of the U18s goals, while Russell Short, Ed Upson, Kieran Leabon, Sammy Moore and Darryl Knights also impressed.
Released full-back or midfielder Stuart Ainsley is set to continue his trial at Colchester this week and will play for their reserves once again.
