Timm Linked Again - Ipswich Town News

Town are once again being linked with Manchester United reserve striker Mads Timm. Boss Joe Royle admitted interest in the 21-year-old Dane when the link was previously reported in February.

Timm, 21, spent three months on loan at Walsall towards the end of 2005/06 and is expected to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer when his contract is up in the summer.

The Dane joined United from home town club Odense in August 2002, making his debut against Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League. A loan spell with Norwegian side Viking followed.

The striker, who can also operate in midfield, was sentenced to 12 months in a young offenders' institute in March 2005 after being found guilty of dangerous driving. Fellow United player Callum Flanagan, sacked after the incident and also jailed, crashed into another car while he and Timm were street racing.
