Clapham Linked - Ipswich Town News
As expected, ex-Blue Jamie Clapham is being linked with a summer move back to Portman Road having been released by Birmingham over the weekend. Town boss Joe Royle is known to want a left-back to compete with Scott Barron now that former loanee Jay McEveley is set to stay at Blackburn.
Royle is a big fan of Clapham and used him as a central midfield player in his first few months at Town before the one-time Spurs trainee was sold to Birmingham for £1.5 million in January 2003.
The Blues boss is also looking to add to his midfield and Clapham's versatility may also be an attraction.
