Midfielder Jaime Peters has been called up to the Canada U20 squad for three games with Brazil later this month. Peters has already made 17 appearances at U20 level in addition to his 12 full international caps.
The Canadians face the Brazilians at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on May 19th, at the Centennial Stadium in Victoria on May 22nd and at the Swangard Stadium in Burnaby on May 25th.
Prior to Town's final game of the season at Plymouth, boss Joe Royle said that after the three U20 games Canada head coach Frank Yallop had agreed to excuse Peters from further squads this summer. The Blues are keen for the winger, who celebrated his 19th birthday last week, to rest during the close season ahead of his first ever pre-season programme.
