Striker Billy Clarke came on as a 60th minute sub as the Republic of Ireland U19s lost 3-2 to Slovakia on Friday afternoon. Keeper Shane Supple was left on the bench.
The Irish youngsters are in Slovakia playing UEFA U19 Championship elite round qualifying group matches.
Turkey provide the opposition on Sunday and Georgia on Tuesday as Clarke and Supple's side seek to qualify for the tournament proper held in Poland in July.
Owen Garvan was also included in the squad but was pulled out due to a persistent hip injury.
Alan Lee has joined up with the full Ireland squad for their training camp in the Algarve. Steve Staunton's squad flew out on Friday afternoon and will be together until Tuesday before returning to Dublin for a friendly with Chile on Wednesday.
