Wright Away - Ipswich Town News

Richard Wright has joined former Town man and Saturday's England hero Kieron Dyer in the full England squad for Wednesday's crucial, vital, really very important indeed match with Poland. Dyer is likely to start again after an excellent debut against Luxembourg. Wright seems likely merely to be involved in training sessions with Nigel Martyn and Ian Walker ahead of him.

Kieron is the people's favorite at the moment it seems after Saturday's game throughout the country at the moment. Everywhere except in his home town vit seems. Apparently he got some serious hassle in Ipswich nightclub Liquid the weekend before last from a Town fan. The incident was said to have left the former Town player shaken up and disappointed. Most Town fans have seem to understand why he left and hope that Kieron's career continues apace. Sadly there are those who don't feel quite that way.

Town will get the first portion of the extra £500,000 of the Dyer transfer fee after Kieron's debut on Saturday.

Latest Town rumours are thus: We are interested in Cambridge striker Trevor Benjamin. Leicester, Newcastle and Spurs are all after Johnno and Richard Wright is fed up with not being a Premiership player. How much truth? Probably not very much at all.

David Johnson is one of the nominees for the Sky Sports Nationwide League Player of the Month for August. The result will be announced on Thursday.
