Richards Could Miss Out - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Matt Richards could miss the start of pre-season training due to the ankle injury he picked up towards the end of 2005/06. Richards sustained the injury in training and was ruled out of the final match of the season at Plymouth.
Physio Dave Williams told the club site: "There is ligament damage and it's touch and go whether Matt will be back in training by the end of June.
"If he doesn't make it he won't be far away though, perhaps a week or so.
"He's been doing some work at the training ground and is making progress, but it's an injury that takes time to heal."
Town's preparations for 2006/07 begin on June 26th.
