Irish Trips for Academy - Ipswich Town News

Town will be sending youth sides to the Umbro Galway Cup and Milk Cup tournaments in Ireland over the summer. An U14 squad will play in Galway, while an U15 side will compete in the Milk Cup which is held north of the border.

The Umbro Galway Cup takes place at Salthill Devon's Drom Soccer Park between August 8th and 12th.

The cost of the squad travelling to the west of Ireland has been met personally by Ipswich Town Independent Supporters Trust secretary Colin Kreidewolf.

Town will face the likes of Aberdeen, Bohemians and an FAI representative side. Setanta have signed up to broadcast live games from the competition.

The Milk Cup takes place from Monday, 31st July to Friday, 4th August. Other clubs involved include Chelsea, Manchester United, Everton, Spartak Moscow, Porto, Rapid Vienna, Danish side Lyngby, CSKA Moscow, Hearts and Israel's Maccabi Haifa.
