Jim: I Want Currie - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton says that there is nothing in weekend reports claiming that Darren Currie is on his way to Leeds for £250,000. Magilton has also confirmed that he would be interested in discussing a Matt Holland's return to Portman Road.
The ex-Northern Ireland international says that Currie is very much in his plans and it would take a much bigger bid to tempt him to sell the 31-year-old: "If Leeds were to come in with a £2 million offer then it might be different, but I don't see Darren leaving this club.”
Magilton says that he would hold talks with Matt Holland if the former Republic of Ireland international is keen on the move back from Charlton: "If Matt showed an interest in returning to Portman Road I would sit down and chat to him. At the moment he is working for the BBC at the World Cup."
The new Town manager was pleased with the way the first day of pre-season training went yesterday.
