New manager Jim Magilton has challenged his players to win themselves a place in his side. The former Northern Ireland captain says that no one is guaranteed a start and has been impressed with young defenders James Krause and Chris Casement in pre-season training.
Magilton said: "Every place is up for grabs and I want the players to be in a competitive frame of mind. Their attitude and commitment has been absolutely terrific since day one.
"Everybody is taking the message on board and some players are coming through the pack - youngsters like James Krause and Chris Casement have really impressed me."
The Blues, who spent Wednesday at RAF Wattisham, open their pre-season campaign with a game at Boston on Saturday (KO 3pm).
