Currie Linked Again - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Darren Currie is once again linked with a move to Leeds United by Sunday's tabloids. The 31-year-old will reportedly join the Whites for £250,000 later this week.

Saturday reports claimed that a swap for Northern Ireland international David Healy was on the cards but there is no mention of the striker in the latest reports. Hull City and Crystal Palace are also said to be interested in the former Barnet, Wycombe and Brighton man, whose uncle Tony was a legend at Elland Road.

Currie, who has a year left on his Town contract, has been rumoured to be on his way out of Portman Road all summer after an inconsistent 2005/06.

Town manager Jim Magilton laughed off earlier stories linking Currie and Leeds, indicating that a fee higher than the reported £250,000 would need to be on offer for him to consider selling the wideman who he says is very much in his plans.
