Deal for Bopp? - Ipswich Town News
Town will offer trialist Eugen Bopp a one-year contract, according to a report in a Sunday tabloid. Bopp was one of three trialists involved in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Boston United.
The 22-year-old was released by Nottingham Forest at the end of last season having signed in August 2001. As a youngster Bopp had spent time with Bayern Munich.
Although born in Kiev in Ukraine, the midfield player is German and has won U21 caps. Should he sign, Bopp would become the club's first ever German player.
In his five years at the City Ground the midfielder made 89 appearances and scored 11 goals.
