Jim Happy With Display - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton was happy with his side's display in last night's 1-1 draw with Willem II. The Northern Irishman felt the game was a useful exercise and good experience for the younger members of his squad.

Magilton told the club site: "The boys worked extremely hard and kept going right until the end.

"It was another game under our belts leading up to the new season and was also a fantastic learning experience for the young players in particular to be up against a good quality continental side.

"Shane Supple had an outstanding game in goal and Jason De Vos was immense for us."

Magilton was also pleased with trialists Indridi Sigurdsson and Alexis Bertin: "Both lads did well. Indridi took a bit of a bang on the head so we took him off as a precaution, while Alexis will have benefitted from playing a solid 75 minutes."
