No Deal for Trial Pair - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton has decided not to offer contracts to trialists Alexis Bertin and Mehdi Méniri. Frenchman Bertin has been with the Blues since the beginning of pre-season, while Algerian international Méniri joined up with the squad earlier this week.
Magilton told the club site: "We have had a good look at the two players and I thank them both for their efforts, especially Alexis who has been with us a bit longer.
"They have both done well in their time with us, but at this stage they are not quite what we are looking for. I wish them both every success."
Bertin is understood to have previously lined-up a trial with Town's Championship rivals Coventry City.
The Blues still have two trialists with the touring party, Finn Marko Kolsi and Icelander Indridi Sigurdsson.
