U15s in Northern Ireland - Ipswich Town News

Town's U15s are in action at the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland this week. The tournament has three sections, with the young Blues in the Junior competition, while Chris Casement and the Northern Ireland U19 side play in the Elite tournament.

The Blues open their campaign with a game against the San Diego Nomads at Anderson Park, Coleraine (KO noon) on Monday and complete their qualifying round fixtures on Tuesday when they take on County Tyrone at Castlerock (KO noon).

Casement's Northern Ireland are in action against Paraguay at the Riada Stadium Ballymoney on Monday (KO 7.30pm) and then Turkey on Wednesday at Coleraine Showgrounds (KO 7pm). The final stages of the competitions are played later in the week.

Meanwhile, academy schoolboy Jack Ainsley and the England U17s begin the Nordic Tournament in the Faroe Islands with a game against Sweden in Torshavn on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday they play a Faroese U19 side before completing their group with a match against Norway on Thursday.

Also in action at the tournament is new academy recruit Viktor Unnar Illugason who is with the Iceland squad. The striker is expected to join up with the rest of the new intake at the end of the Icelandic domestic season.
