Town are being linked with Birmingham City midfielder Bryan Hughes just a day before the two sides meet in the Worthington Cup semi-final second leg. The Birmingham winger is seen as an alternative to Hassan Kachloul now the Southampton player has seemingly priced himself out of the larket.
We aren't convinced that there is anything in this at all. Obviously Town have seen Hughes play recently as he was involved in the first leg of the semi, but we can't see it.
George Burley has said that he has no bids tabled at the moment and the two clubs are hardly the best of friends at the moment (see previous stories). But, we've been wrong before...
