Parkin Deal "Dead" - Ipswich Town News
Coventry manager Micky Adams says he has given up on signing Town striker Sam Parkin. The Sky Blues had a bid - reported to be £100,000 rising to £200,000 - turned down last week and have subsequently turned their attentions elsewhere.
Adams said: "Sam was one of the players I went for last week but Ipswich rejected our offer and we couldn't agree terms.
"That is dead in the water now and we won't be going back. I am pursuing other things and that includes Adam Virgo who can play up front as well as several other positions, so he will hopefully be a useful addition to the squad."
Virgo, who previously played inder Adams at Brighton, has subsequently joined the Sky Blues on loan from Celtic.
