Decision Time for Noble - Ipswich Town News

West Ham midfielder Mark Noble is weighing-up whether to join the Blues on loan. The Hammers are happy for the 19-year-old to make the temporary move and it is now up to the player.

Boss Jim Magilton said: "We have approached West Ham with a view to taking Mark Noble on loan and they have agreed. They have put it to the player and it is now up to him to decide and that is what we are waiting on."

Magilton has revealed that Brighton have offered striker Colin Kazim-Richards in part exchange for Sam Parkin. The ex-Bury player impressed Magilton against the Blues last season but the Northern Irishman isn't willing to allow Parkin to leave Portman Road and is considering starting him at Leicester on Saturday.

Town appear to have missed out on central defender Paul McShane with the Irish U21 international set to move from Manchester United to West Brom as part of the deal which will see goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak finally going to Old Trafford. McShane is expected to sign a three-year deal.

Town are continuing their search for another central defender to provide competition for Jason De Vos and Richard Naylor and have already made an enquiry regarding another player.

As reported on Tuesday, former Newcastle midfielder Martin Brittain has been in trial at Playford Road and has impressed the Town management. Brittain, 21, has previously had trial spells with Brighton and Kilmarnock.
