My 2015 Charity Challenges
Written by wadey on Thursday, 4th Dec 2014 13:20

As some of you may know, in 2012 and 2013, me, my partner and my dad took part in two road trips raising money for The Lullaby Trust, all in memory of a perfect little boy, our son Tyler.

Tyler was just 15 months old when he was taken from us. He died peacefully in his sleep. He was such a happy little boy and will always be missed.

In 2012, we visited every English football stadium from the Premier League down to League Two, along with Wembley, Millennium Stadium and Highbury. That's 95 stadiums in all, covering a distance of 2,500 miles and five days, roughing it in my Ford Focus.

In 2013, we visited all of the Scottish League stadiums, Hampden Park and 17 non-league English clubs that have previously been in the top four tiers of English football. This took four days and covered 2,000 miles.

So far we have raised over £3,000 for this charity which is close to our hearts.

So, on to 2015. This year, we will be doing something a little different. I've decided to take part in four challenges throughout the year.

The first challenge will be the Mud and Madness Race in Upminster in February. It is an 8km mud run/obstacle course.

The second will be a bungee jump in March at the O2 Arena in London

The third will be a sky dive. this is the one I'm most petrified about. This will be around June/July.

And the fourth will be a 10km run in Thurrock, Essex in late October.

All challenges I will be paying for myself and will not be receiving any money from the charity to do this. To donate, please visit my Just Giving page: http://www.justgiving.com/tyler2015

I really hope you can spare some money to donate to this charity. any money is welcome and PLEASE always click on Gift Aid.

Thank you,

Chris Wade - A London Tractor Boy, season ticket holder in the SBR Lower
