Looking at the fixture list and trying desperately to look for some hope. Does someone more positive than me want to offer it?

Blackburn (H)
Huddersfield (A)
Preston (A)
Derby (H)
Reading (H)
Villa (A)
Brighton (A)
Leeds (H)
Norwich (A)

"They've spent a few quid" should get a good airing, despite being currently unable to put together a run against teams who haven't.

We probably need five more wins to be safe from relegation. Blackburn (H), Brentford (H), Burton (A), Wigan (H) and Rotherham (A).

That leaves Birmingham (H) and Wolves (H) and Cardiff (A) as back-up.

Should be fairly straightforward. Play a few youngsters in the last two matches, finish 19th, talk about it as a rebuilding season. Maybe a shock move for Akinfenwa over the summer to keep the fans on their toes, take Douglas onto the coaching staff.

The first half of that doesn't actually sound so bad after all...

We will do well to win a game in Feb which would put us firmly in the relegation mix. The Feb fixtures do not fall kindly for us, at all.

This Blackburn game is a must win, Blackburn would be 4 points behind us and as outlined below, we might only get 1 or 2 points from the 6 games after. Going to be a long one.

Can't see any problem there, we always thrash Rotherham away

Five more wins would give us a total of 48 points and will almost certainly guarantee relegation. The lowest points total to guarantee safety is 55, but this is based on the history of the previous 21 years' finishing positions.

But, as we all know, statistics are meaningless as a guide to the outcome of any current season.

You're bound to get a jammy result in there also

A win at Nodge must be overdue?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
