For the club to announce that they will be raising additional revenue by getting a proper shirt sponser.

Submit your 1-24 league prediction here -https://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/514096/page:1 - for the opportunity to get a free Ipswich top.

This is something that's perplexed me for a long time.

Maybe ME has realised that other companies understand that advertising on our shirts at the mo , playing as we are, is likely to have a negative impact on their image, sales etc!

There used to be a loophole where you could sponsor yourself and write it down as extra revenue. Didn't Man City get their owners to sponsor their stadium for something ludicrous to get around FFP?

Presumably this rule no longer applies and thus we should be looking harder than ever to attract a decent sponsor or two, are there still clubs who have a second sponsor above their number?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Andrex?

Probably Dulux, goes well with what it's like to watch them on the pitch.

I understood Evans was already paying the market rate for that (as a means of doing what you suggest).

Now you can have deficit of £13m a year without falling foul of FFP no longer necessary for Marcus Evans to be shirt sponsor, unless is seen as good advertising for the group. Not sure how it can be as our style of football has limited appeal to television companies.

Perhaps we would get the turnstiles painted again if it was them.

But if no other companies are willing to pay whatever the maximum is that ME is allowed to pay for shirt sponsorship, what's the point in losing income just for the sake of a 'proper' sponsor?

Given that they're all cocks I'd say Durex is more likely.

How about this one?

It's another marketing and exhibition events company, but with perhaps a more apt name for us to have on our shirts...
