Terrorist Attacks 08:51 - Mar 23 with 4935 views | TLA | On Radio 5 Live they just said that yesterday's terrorist attack was the first to slip through the counter-terrorism net since the murder of Lee Rigby. I was a little surprised because I remember an MP being murdered in the street by someone with extreme views. Is the murder of Jo Cox not a considered a terrorist attack (and if not, why not)?

Those were not reported very widly were they?
Terrorist Attacks on 09:05 - Mar 23 with 2589 views | Bluefish | I constantly have the debate with my family that It is safer from terror attacks than it has been in the past 40 years. They voted leave and I am sure it is because they feel the country is dangerous due to IS and immigration. I showed then the statistics on terror attacks in the UK for each decade which proves it but they still don't agree. 7/7 was nearly 12 years ago and while they doesn't make it ok you will always have nutters that attack people.

The dissident republican attacks in N Ireland are deliberately being ignored/played down. This has the possible consequence of causing the perpetrators to launch an attack in England.

It was on Sky News yesterday. People who are saying it's not being reported are talking nonsense. [Post edited 23 Mar 2017 9:15]

Watch Alan Partidge mid morning matters for a classic line relating to your point

I said Widely reported Steve, I don't watch Sky and only watch BBC or Ch4 main news. I am not saying these things are NOT reported just that, unlike yesterday when it was wall to wall coverage and extended news, these things can easily be missed

That was reported quite widely online and in the printed press. The NI one less so. But in both these cases the results were so much less than yesterday so I can understand the relative lack of coverage. [Post edited 23 Mar 2017 9:23]

Like the cable laying ship installing an electric cable for power supply from France to the UK nearly sunk & was the subject of a marine emergency, that didn't hit the headlines either

The NI ones weren't widely reported and could easily have been missed, the Orly airport ones very clearly were. That post was on the latter incident.

There was multiple loss of life outside our Parliament whereas the NI bomb didn't kill anybody. Of course there was extensive coverage of the former compared to the latter. [Post edited 23 Mar 2017 9:22]

How many news outlets have broadcast the story about the British Banks laundering Billions of currency for the Russians, other than the Guardian?

I rarely catch the news on tv but I'm connected most of the time. I wouldn't say it was widely reported like the Paris incident. Clearly London was a different scale.
