Let them give their answer and let the audience at home, the electorate, judge them on their transparency, honesty and clarity and the quality of their ideas.
It's clearly developed as a response to Central Office media trained clones who just parrot the line over and over, at the first sign of repetition the journalists jump in, but the danger is that even when politicians are responding the journalists can't help themselves so that they look tough and hard-hitting. |  | | |

Hmm, I tend to disagree to an extent.
If the politician is plainly avoiding answering a question, I'd rather they should be pulled up on it than allowed to spout the nonsense which much of the electorate might buy into. | |

Except the answer he has given when put on the spot are untrue.
One example being when he was challenged over the minutes silence for the IRA bombers. His answer was “The commemoration I think you’re referring to was a meeting where there was a period of silence for everyone who had died in Northern Ireland".
That is a bare faced lie. The event was held by the Tone Wolfe Society, the official programme for the event stated that “force of arms is the only method capable of bringing about a free and united Socialist Ireland.” and Corbyn said that “‘I’m happy to commemorate all those who died fighting for an independent Ireland”.
Not wishing to start another ten pager on the rights and wrongs of his association with Republicans do you accept that his answer was a lie? [Post edited 1 Jun 2017 20:15]
