Says JC tonight, and yet if Nicola was his only hope would he stay so principled I wonder. she wouldn't be able to resist the chance of power in Westminster.
But then JC tells us he respects the Brexit vote but Nicola is adamant she wants to stay in.

Has anyone thought through that potential recipe for chaos at all?

I guess he could always ask his chums in Sinn Fien to prop him up?

You've been beaten to "the coalition of chaos" I think.

eh ?

If May has no overall lead even with the Ulster Unionists then it would be pretty pointless try to form a govenment as the rest could bring her down through a vote of no confidence.

If that were the case then Corbyn could try to form a government, with the 'others backing him' in the house (votes) knowing that were they to vote against ot abstain they would be accused not only of bringing down that government but of losing the influence they had.

Whilst not being in a formal coalition Labour would have to be in informal talks with the others to ensure nothing they put up would be voted down.

The usual course would be as in 1974 to call another election further down the line to ask for the majority it needs to govern.

Corbyn says he respects the brexit vote, but does not state that it is above all other votes, or over rides any lawful democratic ruling as with the courts.

Cynics might suggest this has pretty much been staged managed to allow all parties to get out of the nonsense of brexit by lawful means ie the election cancels out that referendum - as the government that called it would no longer be in power.

Politics yes, but can anyone seriously say they thought anyone in the right mind was going to allow the UK to collapse it's economy ?

It's a nonsense question.

If there is a hung Parliament, the Tories will jump into bed with the unionists, UKIP, whoever will have them, likewise Labour, SNP, Greens etc - at the same time, the 2/3 leading parties will rule out deals, because they have no plans for deals.

err, not if those in bed with them do not make up a minimum of 326 MP's

Currently the LibDems, the SNP and Plaid Cymru are not only totaly opposed to what the Tories stand for but are also against leaving the EU.

If the NI seats remain as they were (8 MP's) then the Tories need a minimum of 318 seats, to numerically scrape in. The problem there being at what price ? What would the Ulster Unionists want in return. Focus on the border with the two Irelands whereby the Tories have to agree to what the Unionists want, or no government.

Current polls are suggesting it might be there or there about. Which would almost certainly meaning May resigning. They need to knock Labour back down to around 35 % and add a couple more to their current polling rating to give a 30/40 majority.

but in reality the tories will have big majority.

Of course they will

And their latest U turn about not building the social housing the had stated in their manifesto will certainly help to push those numbers up.

As will their plan for breakfast for school kis, at 7p each perchild.

Nevermind, the kids can wait until lunchtime as they have just grasped that almost all schools providing lunches are in four or more year contracts with their suppliers. So all that would happen is schools would be paying the same but the kids would get no lunch !

A Tory charged with election fraud - May backs him

A Tory candidate blames promicous women for rape - May backs him

A Tory candidate tells a schoolgirl to f*** off - May backs him

A Tory candidate tells a schoolgirl t "that homosexuality is ‘wrong’ and ‘dangerous to society’. " he stood down.

Tory party treasurer is still under investigation for election fraud

Any wonder that ukip feel at home amongst this lot.

and at some point you will need to answer the question as to why such an awful tory party after such an awful campaign won.

Well of course. My point is that whatever the various sides claim at the moment about deals or no deals, it means nothing if they need a deal to get a majority in the house. They will all jump in like starving rats and do whatever is required if it gives them power.

There's surely no dispute on that?

I doubt I will live that long, as it certainly ain't going to be this one.

Maybe based on someone I know saying about how they are getting knocked back on the doorstep in a sort of middle class area in Sussex. Not dyed in the wool Tories but those kind of voters who they need to stay with them.

the word is for the first time that they might lose not because of tactical voting but general displeasure with May.

ps polls are suggesting a hung parliament which would allow a minority Labour government - you have five days to catch up

good luck
