Maybe I expect too much but I find that disappointing (even for the shambolic campaigns and dumbed down reporting we have had to endure this time). I really feel that my generation have been useless both as a source of competent politicians and as an intelligent set of electors.

We are still suffering the populist effects of the Blair years and the decent airing of issues that politicians like Robin Cook used to engage in seems like a distant memory. No idea if I am right to place hope in a younger generation but they can scarcely do worse.
