Good news for Labour supporting Ipswich fans. 13:00 - Jun 12 with 5026 viewsMarshalls_Mullet

The bookies have us down as one of the faves for relegation next season!!

....so if we finish 21st that will be seen as a massive success.

If MM guides us to 21st finish some one here would still hail him as the messiah.

And if MM guides us to play-off finish, some on here would still castigate him as dinomick.

Never said I was a Tory. Maybe I am a disgruntled Labour voter?

My main issue is Labour supporters who are delighted with a c.60 seat defeat and see it as a victory. Its not a healthy attitude.

Anyway, I think I've probably said enough on the matter.

I think most people view it as very good progress bearing in mind the whole media only report negative stories about him. The headlines the day before the election in nearly every paper was a disgrace.

He is old labour putting forward anti austerity policies which are very popular.

We have had 7 years of Tory austerity, apart from the tax giveaways to the richest and big business and it hasn't worked.

The definition of madness is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

We need a change and Jeremy Corbyn labour would give us exactly that.

The Tories don't want another election as labour would win a decent majority.

The Tory wins in Scotland were basically SNP protest votes and if you took away half of them, they would need a 3rd partner to govern.

Labour dont have any grounds for another election.

I dont disagree that a change is needed, and we'll probably get that with a minority govt i.e. a softer version of the tories.

Not sure Corbyn was the answer.

Your comment regarding madness also applies to corbyn as what he is preaching has all been tried before and failed causing many years of stagnation which made the recent years of austerity feel like paradise !
Previous socialist governments have been down the route of promising everything everyone wants but have never been able to satisfy anyone due to being unable to fund the promised goodies. The comments regarding something for the many not the few are so misleading as to almost being classed as lying !

'The Tories don't want another election as labour would win a decent majority.'

A few days ago Labour ended up with almost 60 seats less than the Tories (who ran a poor campaign on the back of a dreadful manifesto). How are they magically going to have a majority at all, let alone a decent one, if the election was run again?

It's a bit like being 2-0 down and pulling one back with plenty of time to go. Which team would be more rattled?

polls over the weekend show Labour ahead by 6 points which would be enough for an overall majority.

The more time the Tories spend looking after their own party interests rather than focusing on the country will ebb away at their support...
