When put into such a bitesize chunk it's astounding. He's basically operating like a corporation. Maybe post-Brexit he's the answer, for the country and Arsene Wenger.

Be a shame of this is true as he's always seemed like a decent enough sort away from the pitch.

The very richest in society scheming to avoid paying taxes to help the poorest is one of the most disgusting things about modern day life.

Guy on TalkSport today, who seemed like he knew what he was on about, said that the tax authorities made a change on overseas image rights taxation, after Ronnaldo's assessment was submitted. Apparently Ronaldo offered to make an offer of £5m and get his accounting team to look at it going forward, but was immediately hit with the lawsuit with no further discussion, which is what angered him.

I suppose people can put convincing cases forward either way.

He is ridiculously wealthy but has he set up several charitable foundations in Portugal? It's hard to judge what selfish and altruistic is when the income is so huge.

I'd imagine this will just be like the Messi one a few years back & nothing will come of it.

Don't Real also have some government influence anyway?

Aren't most of these high paid players on the same deal?
Didn't that come out with the MU affair and the Leeds issue?
