I did wonder, he's clearly very talented but the contents too wishy washy for me

I used to be a big fan and he is clearly talented. However, whilst his songs are nice in small doses, not sure I'd pay big money to watch an hour and a half of his stuff.

Put 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown on Channel 4 then son. If you're asking where the backing singers are you clearly don't appreciate what's going on.

Indeed, it's all a bit too tame for me to really love, but his talent is phenomenal.

Being a local lad, and a decent bloke I give him more time. His music is enjoyable, but I can think of a lot more acts I'd rather see than Ed.

I think I'll go to his Portman Road gig he says he'll do, but won't go out of my way to see him anywhere else.

I agree. He is obviously a talented man BUT to me he has no diversity and therefore 90 minutes turns into a bore fest.

He's a massive improvement on Radiohead from Friday night.

And I think Ed is ok, but nothing more.

Thanks for pointing out that politicians do things to try to win votes. Had never thought of that before.

I think it's refreshing to see someone so naturally talented tearing the charts up. I can take or leave most of his songs but it makes a change from the manufactured bullsh1t.

Plus he's a Suffolk boy. Lad.

Galway whatever repeated at least 4 times different lyrics, he put his guitar on the stage and it continued strumming.

Played a few shows with him back in the day...just a genuinely nice guy who loves music and no one can knock him for his success, he's done it the hard way.

As for the set tonight...I can see why people might struggle with it, but for a solo musician to entertain for that length of time in a setting of that magnitude is quite the ask. He stuck to his roots and ran with the loop pedal...and when you are just a genuinely nice guy who doesn't have an ounce of c**t or cockiness in you...you may well come across slightly bland at times in a set...being solo as well, you have no other musicians to play off either.

Fair play to him, he did what he does best in what will probably be the pinnacle of his career. I did read that he does wish to create a record and tour using a full band at some point, so who knows, maybe his next Glasto appearance will encompass such things.
