That an ex Archbishop of Canterbury who has had to resign his church responsibilities having been found to have protected a bishop guilty of sexual abuse can still hang on to his seat in the House of Lords. Presumably he also gets to claim his attendance allowance while he keeps warm and gets a hot lunch!

Interestingly two members of the Royal Family also wrote to the Police in defence of the ex-Bishop. But they haven't been named and there won't be a big public out-cry about them doing the same as Carey.
Which is in no way defending Carey. Special pleading for a repeat paedophile? Eugh!
Yes, he should be forced to resign his seat in the Lords. It's a ridiculous excuse for a second chamber as it is, but this really brings it into disrepute.
