If I remember rightly, don't they have cheaper season tickets in Germany? Something like £70 for an ST or something stupid like that? German clubs do tend to actually care about their fanbase a bit more.

And an even higher income from TV revenue, so they can actually afford it (mind you, so could the richer teams in the English Premiership).

The German and Italian markets have been like that for a long time. Juventus used to average only 20,000 in their previous stadium. German football is backed by very strong commercial sponsorship and industry, and has not needed to rely on over inflated TV packages or rip-off ticket prices.

Top 100 average home attendances across Europe last season on 10:16 - Jul 4 with 3686 views | BlueFin | I'm fairly certain that german clubs would be even higher up there, if they simply had bigger stadiums. Bundesliga had something like 90-95% capacity rating. They really care about their supporters and fanbase there, and not just a milking cows. Nice to see one Nordic club there (Hammarby). But what's with the Italy, such low figures? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Two points about german clubs 1/ I understand their rules say 51% of the club must be owned by supporters 2/ they still have standing areas and, in these standing ticket prices are very low, some circa 15 quid

Indeed, be interesting to see the stats as % to capacity across Europe... I suspect that Inter & Milan may not look good as a % Is Bernabeu smaller than Camp Nou?

Many matches in France are also 20 euros or under. Most League 1 clubs have an arrangement with other clubs where they only charge 10 euros for visiting supporters.

I can walk to the pub. |
