Ive seen many derogatory comments about Lee Johnson on this forum. I for one think he is a good young manager.

Not one shred of evidence to support that.

I meant not one shred of evidence to suggest he is a decent manager, not the bit where you say there are plenty of derogatory comments about him... I agree with Elder Grizzly's comments 100%.

An awful manager, achieving awful results with the resources that should be giving a much better performance. He'll be gone by October.

He has had one bad season (last season) in his career. Beginning of last season they looked like promotion contenders, but for some reason went on a terrible run, but had a good run to keep them up.

I'll give him his due, it was quite the managerial achievement to spend tons more than us, yet finish below us last season.

I think the point here is 'for some reason'. Given the resources at his disposal, they should be up there. And aren't.

He has a career win percentage slight better than Roy Keane...

did very well with little money at Oldham. Took Barnsley from bottom to play offs in season 15-16.

Career average worse than Roy Keane's. Swear down.

Proving that he's marginally better than one of the worst managers ever to be inflicted on us isn't much of an endorsement for Lee Johnson.

I take that back.

But 'marginally better than Roy Keane' isn't really much a recommendation, is it?

I agree its not much of an achievement to be marginally better than Keane. However, most of Keanes wins were with Sunderland in 1 promotion season

He took Barnsleyu to the bottom of the league (losing 8 on the spin) and had begun to turn it round when he left them in February (winning 6 on the spin)

But they weren't in play off zone when he left them and only just scraped in on GD and his replacement picked up 2ppg for the last 3 months of the season so hard to give him much credit for that

Fairly sure that was the turning point. Won quite a few to stay up including a 4-0 win v Huddersfield

At that stage Huddersfield knew they would be in the play offs and didn't want important players injured. Hence they 'allowed' teams to win.
