Went to Mahzen last night & had the mixed kebab.

Lamb kofte, chicken kofte, chicken wings, lamb shish & chicken shish - £16.

It was delightful.

Yes The Turkish place on Norwich Rd is much better (Arratt)?

I was underwhelmed by Mahzen tbh

Went there last month for my birthday and had the same thing, was also impressed. Their deserts are better than the average too if you give them a try.

I would also like to know if the one on Woodbridge road is any good.

Last night was the first time I'd been in about 2 years Lucan & it was better than I remember so maybe they've changed chefs.

Treat yourself to a whole Sea Bream as a side order next time you are there.

If you are in London looking for a place to eat post-match or something then this place is amazing:

https://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/19-numara-bos-cirrik-ii

Very cheap and authentic. The pomegranate salad they serve with the kebabs in fantastic and they cook the bread resting on top of the meat on the grill so it absorbs the juices and flavour - it's devine.

My preference is the Iskender Yogurthi.

Not tried the ones in Ipswich yet, will have to try and give them a go next time I am back.
