No, I mean he doesn't have the intellectual skills necessary to analyse a situation rationally and address complex problems based on evidence. Michael Gove, on the other hand, whom I disagree with on most things, I wouldn't dream of saying the same about. [Post edited 26 Jul 2017 7:50]

Whatever makes you think that?

Jacob Rees-Mogg on 13:54 - Jul 25 by The_Last_Baron | Nothing wrong with traditional, centre right Conservative politics. It's just what the UK needs at present. Let's face it, the weird, crazy liberalism of Blair and Cameron and now May is destroying the social cohesion of the country. They have not been representing the majority views of the nation. The Moggster would be a magnificent PM. However there's little chance of the Tories electing him. They'd rather have Hammond or Davidson, od some other Liberal EU loving dullard. |
A poor attempt to re-write history? You must be very young

Wrong. Mogg is one of the very few MPs with the intelligence to do this..

I'm a bit gutted as I like him but disagree with most of his voting. He is pro smoking though. Hurrah.

Politically he is the antithesis of Jeremy Corbyn. But they are similar inasmuch as they appeal to their core base, have voted with principle rather than party, are pro Brexit and are equally un-electable.

Not news really, my MP gets voted in every time but his voting record is way to the right so I don't think people really understand what their MP stands for?

I can't remember if it was you, but someone was doing the same a few weeks ago, smearing JRM because they don't like him. One can only assume they are afraid of free thinking.

Not sure I follow. You're probably better off to direct your question at this mendacious smearer.

Jacob Rees-Mogg on 10:29 - Jul 25 by baxterbasics | JRM has quickly become my top politician albeit amongst a generally mediocre bunch. I'm not sure the wider public are prepared to go for someone who speaks like he does - thick people will dismiss him as being too posh. He needs to rack up some solid ministerial experience. |
Oh I don't know, the evidence seems to suggest differently !

What did the motion say and who is it that is shouting.......very strange post and who are the group that posted it ?

I am, but he refuses to acknowledge why JRM is not there intellectually, and not that he simply disagrees with him.

Jacob Rees-Mogg on 03:50 - Jul 28 with 4751 views | Currie10 | I've met the guy twice in Midsomer Norton ( Somerset ) where I live close by. The first time was 10pm ISH on a Friday night. I was outside the pub and he was speaking to random people when new to the area to find out their thoughts. We spoke for around 40 minutes and he was perfectly pleasant. Did listen. The second time he was trying to get voters for the Tory. He decided he'd try Ladbrokes... he entered and was getting pelters. I walked out with him after convincing him to leave. He seemed to think going to a bookies this day was a good way to attract voters. The public ( rightly so ) felt the opposite- and why the hell aren't you around the rest of the year. Again I had a good chat with him about all this and he did seem to listen. He was also on the Ali G show in the late 90s!
