Christ, Blunt fans are positive! 13:04 - Jul 26 with 2494 views | hype313 | Cheers Harry, good read that, part of me wishes I had some of their enthusiasm! Be interesting to see how Evans and Sharp get on, potent on paper, but a few years past their best?

How long that lasts, who knows? Plenty of teams shown you can come from League One and fly into the top half of the championship and above

Christ, Blunt fans are positive! on 13:49 - Jul 26 with 2400 views | HarryfromBath | They have carried on their barnstorming run from last season and self-belief is coursing through their veins. Add in a six-year wait to get back into the Championship and a manager with deep associations with the club. They are full of it. It was not just their formation, but they do have a feel of Preston when they were promoted under Simon Grayson. They look to have a balanced squad playing to a plan. They will probably start out being compact and hard-to-beat and they have also found the knack of unearthing lower-league gems. Evans has returned from Chesterfield but they are not pinning their hopes in any way on him. The sense was that his career had been derailed and they have more faith in Billy Sharp, Leon Clarke, Caolan Lavery and young David Brooks. Although it may well change as the season progresses, Blades see Evans as being down the pecking order as things stand.

thought that too, Malaga and Stoke are big names. Although without seeing the team sheets hard to know what sort of sides they put out.

I don't know about Malaga, but Stoke put out a strong line up (below) and their Oatcake forum said that United were good value for the win. Shaqiri was the outstanding individual, and was applauded off apparently by everyone around the ground when substituted. Stoke: Grant, Johnson (Edwards,69), Pieters (Tymon,69) Shawcross (Muniesa,80), Zouma (Crouch,46), Fletcher (Adam,80) Cameron (Wollscheid,80), Shaqiri (Diouf,73), Allen (Imbula,80), Ramadan, Berahino (Bojan,73). Subs: Haugaard.

Their sale of Arnautivic has passed me by, West Ham have done some decent business. Be interesting to see who Stoke replace him with.

Probably a good thing we're not playing them for a month or two. Similarly, Barnsley had a great run of form for most of 2016. Our win last August one of very few defeats. Then they sold half their team...

That's not the best strike force on paper but could perform better than the sum of it's parts
