I think Stu's opinion pieces have been largely spot on for a good 18 months now - he's been a very good reporter for us.

I agree, I have always felt he is not one to shy away from saying it how it is, is he an ITFC fan I wonder as some of his writing does put a fans point of view across really well.

I don't know if he is or isn't but what he is is a good reporter. I have been impressed with his social media engagement, and his opinion polls are clearly nor arbitrary devices to make the website look busy

Thought his video report after yesterday's game was a good listen too. Not dramatic, measured and concise.

He's an Everton fan, which I think helps him be a bit more neutral than the editor of the Star when he decides to write anything

My only gripe (and it's hardly that to be honest) with Watson is his tendency to clickbait with something that sounds more negative which stirs up all the loudmouths who love to have moan which kicks-off an anti-Mick shouting match.

I know he does it to get clicks etc. but feel he could do more to dispel some of the nonsense that people spout when they selectively quote his articles. Generally difficult to disagree with a lot of his stuff on the whole though.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

No he's not a Town fan. When I emailed him a couple if seasons ago, he told me he was an Everton fan, when I suggested that the EADT staff were all scum fans. Said he had been a Toffess fan since boyhood.
