QPR Away 10:17 - Aug 23 with 5928 viewslmfcblue

Its all set up for a great away day!! Not sure what our allocation of tickets will be but would be great to have a sell out!

Nowhere near sold the top tier apparently and lower will only be requested if the top tier sells out quickly and there appears a big demand for lower tickets.

There seems a strange lack of interest given our London following and that QPR in particular is always well attended.

Yes we used to have a large London following around 2001-03.

But they've all drifted away as we're no longer a Prem team.

Not missed tbh.

Surely some of the 1900 from last night might now decide to go? QPR is pricey, mind.

A football day out is pricey wherever you go. Especially a day out in London.

I'm not sure that's entirely true.

Fulham is always well supported, QPR last season on New Years Day was all but sold out, Palace last night was close on 2000, Brentford always sells out.

I'd be very surprised if we don't at least sell the top tier. I suspect a lot of fans are holding off to see if the lower tier is released.

Our group of 20-25 is.

It will sell out. It always does. Plenty of people will be going from Ipswich. It's an annual pilgrimage.

I'm sure it will. Spoke to the TO though and they advised they won't even consider asking for lower tier until the top tier sells out which it is far from doing apparently.

Can't you pay on the day anymore? I seem to remember plenty of last minute bods doing so in the past.

I'm not sure actually.

Only issue with paying on the day is that you have to be at the ground earlier.

Surely if too many people wait for lower tier it'll never get to lower tier sales?

I've always found for away matches if fans turn up without tickets the police and groundstaff will let you pay at the gate rather than have fans roaming about outside.

Some people are gonna have to take the hit for the rest of us and sit (stand realistically) in sh1tty seats in the top tier

Exactly this.

If no-one buys Upper Tier, then we won't get Lower Tier.

I know somebody who works in the ticket office and they told me last Saturday that no lower tier tickets would be available until the top tier is sold.
As of last Saturday there were still plenty of top tier available.

Whoever came up with that method is not very smart.

Opening both up would result in a sell out. This may mean that we don't get lower tier and half of the potential away end is empty.

But they won't because people are being stubborn about what tier they;re going to sit in.

At the end of the day you should all be so pissed that it makes no odds.

I think the problem is that if we don't sell out all the tickets for both tiers we have to pay for the non-take up of tickets.
As you say we probably would sell out both tiers but then there is always a chance we might not and you can see why the club might be reluctant to take the chance.

When the lower tier is 5 times better than the upper (for the same price usually as well), you can understand why people would hold off.

It worked last year. I'll give it a few more days and then bite the bullet if I have to.
