We get hammered, but still only lose by two goals.

Even with a poor showing, the team still prevented it being four, or six.

Well, mainly Bialkowski (with two or three nigh on goal line clearances from Knudsen) kept it down to two. I would argue that Iorfa and Spence had a porous quality and Ward, Waghorn and (in the first quarter of an hour of the second half) Sears an anonymity that allowed Fulham two goals and ten other chances.

Yep. Under Keane and Jewell, and even last season under Mick, we would have folded after the second and gone on to lose heavily.

Taking what positives we can from a defeat like this, it's great that we have such a brilliant shot-stopper in goal and that Knudsen is growing in confidence and effectiveness, even when played out of his usual position. The rest, for now, can't really be helped.

Means that other teams are going to have to be very good to get through our defence, all the more so as our sick/injured return and if we sign someone else.

With a decent strike force we would have lost 5 or 6 today.

Their approach play, width and movement was nice to watch ( shame it wasn't us) but a combination of bad finishing and luck prevented a thumping.

Strange to hear op fans chanting "your so!t ah!" Towards Bart. I got most upset!

On showings so far, there are only about four or five teams with a genuinely good strikeforce in this division (one of whom is ourselves and another, apparently, is Millwall). The danger is less immediate than it might seem.

Yes well done to the woodwork.

We were utterly pathetic against Fulham last season as well and 'only' lost 2-0 at home.

A shot which hits the frame isn't going in the goal, it's a miss. Bialkowski and the defenders blocked all but two of those which were on target.

Fulham very much shut up shop when they went 2-0 up as they sensed the game was dead. I wouldn't take much relief from the scoreline, I'd say we are 12 out of 15 points and look decent for the majority of the season so far.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

No they didn't I'm afraid.

Fulham went 2-0 up and went into cruise control.

I'm all for acknowledging the positives from our start to the season but there were precious few yesterday!
