Is today's news positive or not? The way Micks talking is as if he could be out for a prolonged period of time & that surgery may have been quicker?

Poll: Has our squad been improved this summer?

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him this season!
I'll eat my hat if even after a prolonged time out, he'll comtback breakdown then need an op!

sadly tend to agree; this rather vague treatment plan of wait and see doesn't sound too promising. This is why it's easy to feel sorry for Evans. Spends 1million on a player and he's immediately injured.

It was all very vague wasn't it? Surprised none of the hacks pushed him further on that, as opposed to questioning Celina's attitude..!

The whole "we are doing it a different way" thing is a bit worrying given our recent history of not rehabilitating Bishop for instance. But on the other hand maybe this "different way" is precisely because of that recent history?

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

He is injury prone. Don't buy injury prone players. It's simple.

He did a very good job for us on loan last season, but he has got form regarding injuries. Perhaps that's a reason why Cardiff offloaded him so cheaply?

I don't think that's a fair assessment. I don't think a lack of rehab has been the issue with Bishop.

The club only do what the specialists advise regarding injuries, as is the case with Huws. His recommendation is that a non-surgical approach is the better way forward.

Think it's probably too early to come up with a timescale and Mick does tend to be reticent when it comes to putting timescales on absences, as was the case with Bishop when I asked.

Re Celina, I was actually trying to make the opposite point, that his approach to the U23s game last week was actually very positive.

When mick leaned forward and went 'listen...' on your very first question, I though 'oh no, he's going for Phil again'. Aha

You think these constant recurring injuries are just a coincidence then Phil?

For me it seems the rehab programmes are meaning the players come back too weak hence the almost instant breaking down again.

Are there constant recurring injuries? Not really sure that's been the case and the rehab programmes are put together with the specialists and all clubs tend to use the same specialists.

Think there is middle ground between surgery and simply waiting and seeing; injections, physio etc.

Correct. Injury plagued players, however talented, are always much cheaper.

Didn't hear your questions to Mick, was more aimed at Stuart, seemed quite odd, almost insinuating that because he's from City, he would find playing in the U23s a step below him.

I was trying to make a counter point, that his work-rate was one of the things that impressed me in the U23s game against Sheffield United but not sure it was taken as that by Mick, who made a similar comment to you, that there seemed to be an underlying subtext re attitude.

I just think that he doesn't like you 😂😂

Just picks on you every week. It's probably because by that point he's had enough of it all...

Don't think we've crossed swords particularly since it's been going out live, just a bit of banter and a joke. Think there's been a general lack of spikiness on his part - other than a reaction to a question from someone else from a few weeks ago that springs to mind - but results play a big part in that.

Our medical team and the information coming out of the club becomes more hilarious by the week.

Yes I agree they aren't the same injuries, but our staff don't seem to be able to keep certain players fit, surely it is up to them to design schemes that are fit for each individual, not just unlucky in my opinion.
