Ripped off from Wales for Ben Woodburn.

And Waggy doesn't usually play on the right, it's just where Mick's been able to fit him in for now.

Get back to Horny.

Someone started Waghorn Wonderland last night, thought it's quite appropriate considering he's an identical player to Jonny Walters and, like you say, the Waghorny song is terrible.

I'm of the opinion that if people insist on singing 'Waghorny', then they should be charged 10x the ticket price to enter the stadium. Will soon weed that out.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Can we extend this to anyone singing "When the Town go marching in" in that slow dirge the way Tottenham do?

Feel like slashing my wrists every time waiting for the second verse to come.

That Waghorny chant is so embarrassing it’s unreal.

If the 'playing on the right' is an issue, it's easily rectified.

There's a star man,
plays in blue and white
his name is Martyn Waghorn
and he's f*cking dynamite

I like this RiG!

I balanced it out by downvoting you.

That's better.... Celina's song has been successfully launched, now for this one.

I understand that football is becoming too sanitised for many but I am trying to bring up a true lifelong Ipswich fan. He is now 13 and I have been taking him into the heart of the singing parts of the away end and the lower north for a couple of years. I turn a blind eye to him hearing the bad language for football but he knows not to join in the bad songs, this obviously becomes a bit tricky at times. It would be better to have songs that our next generation can sing too. I love teaching my 5 year old daughter songs for the players, she knows all about mcgoldrick and garner

Just teach her the radio edit, finish with "and he's simply dynamite" or something

He's only a poor little budgie
His shirt was all tattered and torn
He started to sing
So I filled the really nasty horrible silly man in
And now he don't sing anymore

If a player's name has two syllables best keep it simple and trad:

Waghorn, Waghorn, Waghorn, Waghorn,
Born is the king of Portman Road.

May need a season of scoring before justifying this, but at least it avoids mindless fcking swearing.

I think there are potential improvements, and a second verse. How about:

There's a star man
wearing blue and white
his name is Martyn Waghorn and he's f*cking dynamite

There's a star man
wearing blue and white
he looked at green and yellow
and he knew that it was sh1te

there's a star man...

No way, this Starman is a beauty. It needs singing tomorrow for sure.

Fair enough, what if he's not playing on the right though, do we have a rhyming issue.
