Norwich gate vs normal 01:16 - Oct 3 with 24075 viewsCurrie10

So Norwich tickets are on sale for people with a booking reference.

A quick look at the seat map shows sales are going well, and I'd imagine a good whack will get sold today which is great.

I'd expect the crowd to be over 25.000 this time.

However, this makes me wonder -

* I get the fact Nodge is the big game and people want to go. However, have people lost interest in games such as Bolton / Bristol City / Fuham etc?
* Is price a factor for most games?
* People staying away because of Mick / Evans?
* Perhaps people go 3 4 times a season and Norwich / Villa / Leeds are the types of game you'd be happy to spend $$$$ on.

10.000 is quite a difference!

I'm not sure how many fans you think we have, but I can tell you they just don't exist. They may have done 10 years ago, but many have died or are just no longer interested. There are no fans to 'come back'. There may be some casual followers or friends of fans but to suggest there are thousands waiting to come back on a regular basis is wrong.

All those thinking we would fill the ground if we got promoted are also misguided. Wouldn't happen. This is not 2000 all over again. People have better things to do with their lives these days. Crowds would be slightly up on today. The big games may sell out if the away allocation was increased. Personally, I won't renew if we are promoted unless there is an equivalent reduction in season ticket price. Fewer games at wierd kick off times all televised means match day purchases are the smart move.

The problem with this Norwich game in particular is:

On a Sunday lunchtime
On TV
Families will be away on holiday as it's half term.
Both teams in mid table
Too expensive.

The last really decent crowd was against Nodge in the P.O game, everybody seemed up for it.

There were shed loads went from village, and not just town supporters,i was on the train with 5 who supported Millwall,Chelsea and Colu.

People are there sadly we need a change to make it exciting again.

Within a few months we had really good crowds against Charlton, Southampton and Norwich - success, particularly promotion, would see people return.

Benters is right, it's the first sub 26k I can recall for a Nodge game.

Especially when we have a good chance of winning!

Yeah sure we had a + 26k game for Charlton, though that was around x-mas and we were second from memory.

Saints were 10er a ticket, that certainly got people in despite the game being on TV..... I was in Moscow for that and couldn't find a bar with it on for love nor money.

I guess we'll see what the Nodge total ends up being at, however it surely must give Milne and co food for thought should we get nowhere near capacity....

Have a quick flick at it at work on occasion - looks to be filling out nicely.

Alf Ramsay lower almost gone, Bobby Robson upper going along nicely too.

Not sure what the current state of play is, however they seem to be selling quite well I'd say?

Hrere's one for ya.

I got talking to a town fan at Colchester North,he was telling me Norwich will be down this season as they have 'nothing' this was on the way to the QPR game.

Now look at the table soon change innit.

That's just it, massively unpredictable league.

Nothing between sides for 87 minutes of a game most weeks.

I didn't realise that the club don't release all tickets at once.

Take the Co-Op stand, no seats sold in final 3 rows.

I think Benters will be on the $$$$.
