But deep down know it's probably not going to happen.

For me, I'd love to visit Samoa and Tonga, with an honorable mention for Buenos Aires, however with two youngsters, they're not places I can envisage me going to for a very long time, if ever.

I used to have a ambition to visit Hawaii, however I haven't heard great things, from a lot of people. I appreciate you should always try things yourself, but the things I've heard haven't been great.

That would indeed be awesome, also watching England v India at Dharamsala would equally do!

Depends where you go in Hawaii if you go to Honolulu then it will be very touristy, however I've had friends who have been to Hawaii big Island and say it's stunning and the polar opposite of Oahu and Honolulu.

Hawaii - it all depends on which island you head to.

I wasn't impressed with the more commercial parts of Oahu, but Maui and Big Island were fantastic last year.

Madagascar is not quite like the cartoon, well it wasn't in 2005. The choice seems to be either really rough backpacker adventuring or lap of luxury all inclusive with not much in the sensible middle ground. Keep an eye on the Air France website for good flight deals if you fancy the first option, that's the source that a friend of a friend tipped us off about. As far as what to do when you get there, just pick a hotel you fancy out of the Rough Guide/ Lonely Planet / Footprints and wait a few minutes once you get checked in - a local tour organiser will be along to suggest some madcap expedition down an unknown river in a dugout canoe before you know it...

I would love to go to the Galapagos Islands to see the turtles laying their eggs.

I have loved tortoises and turtles since I was young and am always amazed at seeing the turtles struggle up the beach to lay their eggs.

I would also love to be there when the babies hatch although I know there are so many predators that catch them before they get to the sea. I couldn't watch that!

Was lucky enough to see that happen on an island off Equatorial Guinea — might be the most beyond-words thing I've ever witnessed. if you ever get the chance to see it in Galapagos, take it!
