Did anyone else try to get tickets for his tour? I bought the album to get early access, logged on the minute they went on sale and it turns out Ticketmaster shifted them all to GetMeIn, a tout website. They were going for upwards of £150....

Paper Crown and Chinatown are great efforts.
I know what you mean but I definitely think it's a lot crisper sounding then Oasis recordings. Far from the 60's psychedelia obsession they had.
I've only heard the 4 singles so far, about to listen to the whole album. Of the 4, For What It's Worth is the best imo. Chinatown is nice but the lyrics in the verses are pretty poor.

Like him or loath him, the guy has appeal.
Could have seen him at Reading this year but the crowd was already getting pretty full such is the popularity and I wanted to see Ash as well. (Good choice imo!)

Roller by Beady Eye is one of my favourite tracks.
I loved Beady Eye. Didn't help that they kept the Oasis lineup bar Noel so people were going to make the comparisons but that first album in particular had some really good songs.
I read a review that said it was like listening to John Lennon recording an album of Julian Lennon's songs.
I think that's a fair review as it just doesn't have that something that made Oasis records special. The songs are decent but it's lacking Noel's overly loud guitar playing along and drowning out the more subtle moments. Oasis-lite? For What It's Worth is a prime example of hat I mean. Decent song with good musicianship but really needs Noel to ramp it up.

This one was a real stand out...
Beady Eye were a great group in need of a great songwriter.

He's a legend
The fact he wants oasis to get back together is great. An oasis reunion would be arguably the only time I'd want to actually go to a concert
Any concert? Of all the concert's you could want to go to, that's the ONLY one?
Frankly, that reunion would have me praying for deafness.
