Except when it means in. Although we do seem to be spending a lot of time in the shake it all about stage at the moment...

Brexit: What are the options? on 10:35 - Oct 11 with 1189 views | caught-in-limbo | Once upon a time Brexit was mostly about immigration. Now it's mostly about trade deals. The biggest factors concerning a hard Brexit, or independence from the EU, should mean having your own laws, full control of your treasury and probably a military big enough to serve as a deterrent from most possible attacks. Since the Brexit vote, the UK has adopted 100's of EU laws and has done nothing additional to defend itself other than agree a multitude of bilateral and trilateral military agreements with existing members of the EU. Since the Brexit vote, the UK has only entangled itself more deeply within Europe. As such, the idea of a hard brexit is already gone. What is left is essentially just tweaks to immigration laws and trade agreements between current EU countries. It's good to see the BBC outlining all the options which constitute a Brexit - just in case we are in any doubt when we are told it has happened.
